Suppose we add a ROLE_ENSIGN and we want ROLE_CAPTAIN to be able to have access to everything ROLE_ENSIGN does. What's the easiest way to achieve this?

Add a role hierarchy in config/packages/security.yaml and make ROLE_CAPTAIN the parent of ROLE_ENSIGN (so captains inherit ensign permissions).

Rename ROLE_ENSIGN to ROLE_CAPTAIN so Symfony treats them as the same role everywhere.

Add both roles to every captain user, like roles: ['ROLE_CAPTAIN', 'ROLE_ENSIGN'], whenever you create or edit them.
