I am developing a Symfony project which includes an
Enginefolder insidesrc. This engine is pure php and uses classic objects with properties and methods. Should I exclude the folder in the services.yaml file?Hey Francois,
It depends on how they are written. It might be simpler to exclude this folder in the beginning, and then create a different folder, e.g.
Servicewhere you will move some classes fromEnginethat Symfony can autowire for you and left inEngineonly those that can't be autowired. In theory, if you will register those files correctly in theservices.yamlyou should be able to autowire all those classes, even those that have scalar constructor arguments. As soon as Symfony can autowire them - you can request those objects from constructor of other services or from controller actions, Symfony will inject them properly for you. But once again, it depends on how they are written and how you're using them.Cheers!
Loving these tutorials. I am learning a lot!
