added this in my listener instead of testing for debug , it works just fine

Hey @ayyoub!

That actually makes a lot of sense! Pretty much the only way for you to end up with a non-500 status code is for there to be an exception that implements HttpExceptionInterface (pretty much all implementations of this, in practice, extend the HttpException class). So +1 from me!
